Schedule a Future Publish Date
There is a new functionality and dashboard widget in Titan CMS 7.5 that allows you to easily publish pages on future dates and manage pages with future publish dates. The dashboard widget is "Pages: Pending Future Activation." If it is not already on your dashboard, you can add it using the "Add New Widget" dropdown menu.
- You can set a future publish date for a new page or for a previously published page.
- With the page selected, go to the Properties tab.
- Scroll down to the "Start Date" field and select a date in the future. Hit publish when the new date is selected.
- If you go back to your dashboard, you will see the page in the "Pending Future Activation" widget with a blue clock icon and the number of days until the scheduled publish date. The blue clock icon will appear on any page with a future activation date in any widget. It is also visible for the new example page in the "Pages: Recently Accessed" widget.
- If you go to the live version of the page with the future publish date before the publish date, you will not get a 404 error. You will see a blank page with the site header and footer but no content.
- NOTE: If your page is set to show up somewhere automatically - like in navigation, a filter block, or a TOC block - the page name and link will show. There will not be content on the page however until it is live. You may wish to hide the page until close to the publish date.
