Workflow User Roles
Author
Author can create pages and make edits to existing content. They are not able to change workflow settings but can view them, and they can change or assign who can view a specific page. Once an Author has finished updating a page, the page becomes part of the pre-configured workflow and will be listed in the Dashboard Pages: Awaiting Review.
Editor
The next level up from Author. An Editor can approve and edit pages. Like the Author role, an Editor cannot change workflow steps, but they can add Authors and any Editor with responsibility for approving steps earlier in the workflow. Any pages that need an Editor’s approval will show up in the Dashboard Pages: Needing Review when workflow is configured.
ItemAdmins (Item Administrator)
The role with the greatest level of authority in workflow. ItemAdmins can change workflow and assign settings to any editor and author roles. They cannot add New Item Admins; only the webmaster group has that ability. (The webmaster of the site is usually the user that handles most of the administration of the Titan CMS sites and has full administrative rights to the system.)
You can manually add a new group in order to assign Author Group permissions to multiple users for workflow. If you don't need a Group "Author,” you can assign specific users as Authors when configuring workflow on an item.
